Reviving the printed planner

Write-Rinse-Repeat

With the invention of waterproof paper and erasable pens, this planner can be used up to 500 times. You can erase typos with the pen eraser or wet-erase entire pages with a damp cloth.  Heat sensitive pens combined with non-porous stone paper create a “notebook meets whiteboard” writing experience. Since the ink disappears with heat or friction, you do not want to leave your planner in a high temperature location such as a car for an extended amount of time. Use only Frixion pens, markers and/or highlighters or else you won’t be able to reuse.

Merge Print and Electronic Calendars

Using the VivBrio™ app for either iOS or Android, converting your print-based calendar into an electrical format is as easy as taking a picture. The app will let you know if you are missing something on either your electronic calendar or your print-based planner. The app will be available in early 2020 in both the App Store and Google Play.

Digitizing Documents to the Cloud

Using our phones as scanners, we can quickly scan pages to cloud storage or email them out. This planner includes a license to the VivBrio™ app for either iOS or Android. The app uses your phone’s camera as a scanner, which enables you to digitize your pages for archiving and storage then wipe and reuse.

Reusable ALL-IN-ONE Planner and Notebook

I want all my planners combined into one:  A notebook, goal planner, nutrition log, budget/bill tracker, calendar planner and more. I prefer a spiral notebook, yet typical notebooks don’t easily add more pages. Also, year-long planners can be too big and heavy. The unique paper this planner and notes pages are printed on, makes it possible to simply digitize the used calendar or notes pages then wipe clean and start over.

The Reusable Planner includes 12 months of labeled but undated monthly spreads (24 pages), 12 full weeks of undated weekly planning sheets (24 pages), and 12 pages for notes (both lined and unlined). Also included in this planner are core essential pages to give you a framework for living out the core essential areas with intent. Plus 10 removeable pages of instructions and tips.

  • Birthday & Anniversary Reminders
  • Save Wisely-Spend Intentionally
  • Monthly Budget Basics
  • Meal Planning
  • Shopping List/Budget
  • Nutrition Log
  • Fitness Log
  • Generosity Finder
  • Verses & Inspirations
  • Thoughts & Prayers
  • Home & Order Checklist
  • Vital Planning Checklist

Macro View to Midcro View

I need to see my life in big picture (macro) and then easily zoom down to into the details (micro) without getting buried there: I need something in the middle (midcro). Seeing my week as a whole is more helpful than daily views. If I need to reschedule something, it is easier for me to see where to put it in a weekly view. Two-page daily views tend to require more time than I can give consistently.

No Messy Calendars

I need to be able to let my calendar flex and move without having to use a bottle of white-out every month. A calendar is a living document; it evolves constantly.

Monthly Views that Tell Me Where My Time and Money Goes

Time and money are the two resources that most people I know never have enough of. It is so easy to over-extend ourselves in either of those areas. I need to see at a glance where my two most valuable resources are going each month.

Revisit-Revise- NOT Rewrite My Goals

One of my biggest frustrations with the goal planners I have used in the past is that they require I practically rewrite my goals with each new month. Generally speaking, my big picture goals don’t change that dramatically from one month to the next, but my actions to achieve those goals are often inconsistent. I want a monthly vision that easily translates to weekly actions without having to completely rewrite my goals.  I want to revisit my goals and then revise as needed.

To Do’s that Move

In general, if there is something I need to do, it is best to actually schedule it on my calendar: there is a higher chance it will get done. But let’s be real! There has got to be a place to list miscellaneous stuff that still needs to get scheduled. I hate rewriting my unfinished “to do” items to the next day, then the next, and maybe even the next day after that. The unscheduled “to do’s” need to flex to the next week without rewriting.

Quick Flip to Right Spot

I want to be able to quickly flip from Macro to Midcro the same way I want to be one click away from getting the information I need when I am using a computer.

The Right Size

I couldn’t find a planner that wasn’t too big or too small: It doesn’t exist! Standard planners are either letter size, A5, A4 or B5. But none of those standard sizes work for me. I need a planner that will hold all my information and fit in a tote, or with a tablet. So I made the planner tablet size: 7.5″ x 9.7″.

Personal Growth Nudging

It is my personal belief that we are happier and more productive individuals when we feel fulfilled in six specific areas of our lives: Our relationships, finances/career, health/nutrition, generosity, soul/spirit and order/organization. Unfortunately, the demands of life have a way of choking out our ideals and leaving us with the best of intentions unfulfilled. This planner is designed for you to think more intentionally about these six areas and provide a framework for you to keep those ideals top of mind.
